My time working with Kris has been life changing. In my late 50’s, I had been recovering from a broken leg, when I fell and broke my arm which required surgery, pins and plate. I saw my future which I imagined to be an active full retirement life draining away into one of injury, pain and lacking mobility and I didn’t like it. I told my Physio I needed someone who could help me use my home as a rehab and fitness place, and he recommended Kris, a kinesiologist and personal trainer. I had my doubts because I didn’t think I was a personal trainer kind of woman, but I feeling a little desperate and willing to give it a try. We started gradually, first focusing on rehab, then working towards a variety of goals based on what I wanted/needed. Kris was amazing at providing a physically challenging yet doable program for me. Fast forward 3 years and I am so thrilled with all I’ve learned about myself, emotionally and physically. I am in the best shape of my life, and have full mobility in my arm. At 60, I ran my first ever 5 km which continues to astonish me as I have never seen myself as a runner. One of the great side effects of working with Kris has been an improvement in my mental health. I have had Kris as my personal trainer since 2008. Kris’ extensive skills as an athlete, a personal trainer and a kinesiologist have served me exceptionally well. Before I met Kris I was the proverbial couch potato, now I workout regularly and run in 8 and 10 km races every year. I would have found this level of activity unthinkable ten years ago. Kris’ sense of humour, encouragement and personal concern for my wellbeing have made exercise a fun and integral part of my life.
Kris has been my trainer for ten years. I worked with several other trainers before him, but his motivational and interpersonal skills (as well as training skills) are the best I have encountered. He is wonderful at finding programs that work for me, and his plans for the day when I’m under the weather. I can’t recommend him enough.
